Fundraising
The Isle of Man Underwater Search Team is a Manx registered charity.  We rely on donations and fundraising activities.

We welcome support to carry on with our provision of underwater search services for the Isle of Man. Your donations will be used to purchase specialist equipment and to provide specialist training. None of our volunteers are paid, but we do contribute to the fuel costs for running boats etc.  We are grateful to Discover Diving for providing equipment service, loan equipment and air fills for our team.

If you, or your employer or company are considering supporting us, we would be delighted to come and talk to about our aims, preparations, equipment and plans. We can even bring some of our equipment along so you can try it on.

Our current wish list....

We are currently seeking funding for

• specialist underwater mannequins, to give our volunteers the chance to practice handling and lifting a body (circa £750 each)
• stretchers to allow safe lifting from the water (around £680 each)
• a secure trailer for storing and transporting the search equipment to the search location (estimated £2000)
• a Hammerhead augmented vision system for use in zero visibility searches (about £12000)
